This morning (Sunday) at 2.05am, my grandad passed away.

I'll explain what happened,
At 6.30pm, he just finished having his dinner with his friend and chatted very happily. But all in a sudden, he collasped on the ground.
I was in my big brother's room with my big sis and my brother came quickly and told us that our granda fell.

So, we quickly got the phone and called the ambulance.
The ambulance people came in and they checked my grandad's body and heart rate. They said that he was feeling fine and all good but they weren't 100% sure about that so they decided to bring him over to the hospital. My dad and big sis followed so I stayed at home with the others to wait... and wait.

About 2 hours later, my dad rang us and told us to quickly go to the hospital because there was bad news. My mum picked up the phone and cried and said "ok ok! We're coming!" It gave me a shock.

We got to the hospital and walked into the room where my grandad was. When I saw him on the bed, I went to my big sis and cried. All of our other family members were there, crying too.
We were all told y the doc. that his blood vessels in his brain exploded and had a large bleed that shut his whole system down. In other words... he had a stoke.

We just stared at him.... just waiting and waiting to see what's gonna happen.

About 10pm, some of us had to go back home cos we couldn't do anything. Only my dad and his big bro stayed.

At the time (2.05am) when he passed away, there was a phone call from my dad and I was in bed. We were told to go back to the hospital again.
When we arrived and saw my grandad lying on the bed, as if he was asleep. I just started crying again and couldn't belive that this happened. I felt his face and hand... he didn't feel warm anymore.. he felt very cold.



My dad and his brother told us that at last minute, my grandad opened his eyes very wide and saw his sons calling him. He had some tears coming from his eyes to say goodbye and then... it was over.

He was my only and last grandad I've had. It was an unexpected moment but we were all glad that he had experienced lots of things in life and passed away very peacefully.

The next day, we had to get the funeral ready so this lady came into our house to talk to us about how things will be organised. It was decided that the funeral will be taken on Thursday 12 June 2008. I won't be able to go to school on this day. We'll be having our other family members from Malaysia and Wellington (NZ) coming on Wednesday to join us.

There were hardly any talking at home today... cos we didn't have the mood to. We all just sat down crying and silent.

Everytime I think about how my grandad passed away.. my heart starts to hurt as if it was stabbed. and also when I'm by myself at home and walking pass his room, I feel the same way.

This was my VERY FRIST time experience this and i will miss the things that he does everyday. V__V



I would be saying "Good morning" to him before I go to school and calling him to eat his dinner. I really want to forget about this moment but it's very hard. It's gonna be stuck in my memories for the rest of my life.

"I hope that you're feeling happy up there!!"
